The floors are paper thin, anytime we walked our neighbors below us could hear, we (unintentionally) drove them absolutely crazy. We could also hear the people above us whenever they were home, which fortunately wasn’t very often. The owner was unkind and unfair to us in several respects, keeping over half of our security deposit as well as forcing us to end our lease early. Happy to discuss further with anyone seeking to rent or buy this unit. Enter carefully.

We redid this apartment in 2014 with all new appliances, flooring, bathroom and closets. It is a full service building with great amenities a top notch staff. The neighborhood has expanded with restaurants and shopping and there are exceptional schools as well. It is a solid building for purchasing and we highly recommend it!

Absolutely flawless building. Full-service luxury with white glove management. Incredibly quiet neighborhood. If you can afford Tribeca, live here. The building staff are professional and discreet. 10/10 no complaints.

Authentic neighborhood with the best food scene in NYC. Building is older but clean and well maintained. Super speaks little English which can be challenging but always fixes things. No elevator is tough.

Astoria is the perfect balance of city living and neighborhood feel. Building is solid — well maintained, responsive management. N/W train makes commuting painless. Highly recommend for anyone priced out of Manhattan.

Classic prewar with Central Park views from the living room. Building is well maintained and the co-op board runs a tight ship. A/C in the summer can be an issue in older units. Worth it for the park access.

Living in SoHo is a lifestyle. Beautiful cast iron building, incredible location. Weekends bring massive tourist crowds and noise. No elevator in the building. Management is responsive but it's pricey.

Grand Concourse is a historic boulevard with beautiful Art Deco buildings. This one has original details that other boroughs can't match. Management is average but affordable rent for the space you get.

Convenient to everything but Midtown is not for light sleepers. Sirens, traffic, and construction are constant. Building itself is fine — maintenance average. Great for work access, tough for quality of life.

Beautiful Tribeca loft-style unit but management company is frustrating. Response times are slow and everything requires multiple follow-ups. The building itself is gorgeous, neighborhood is safe and quiet.

Cozy walk-up in South Williamsburg. Super is responsive and friendly. Street is relatively quiet compared to the main strip. No elevator but only 4 flights. Great neighborhood with a mix of old and new.

Solid mid-rise building with modern renovations. Heat and AC work perfectly year round. Atlantic Avenue gets some noise from delivery trucks in the morning. Management has a proper ticket system and responds quickly.

Converted office building with huge windows and high ceilings. Incredible light all day. Building amenities are great. FiDi gets very quiet at night which some may find unsettling. Overall a positive experience.

Modern building with great amenities — rooftop terrace, bike storage, package room. Very convenient to the High Line. Management is professional. Some traffic noise but manageable with the windows closed.

Great location steps from the waterfront and L train. Building management is mediocre — took 3 weeks to fix our broken intercom. Very loud on weekend nights. But Williamsburg energy is unbeatable.

Converted warehouse loft with incredible views of the Manhattan Bridge. Very industrial vibe — concrete floors, exposed ducts. Management responsive, building well kept. A bit loud with tourist foot traffic.

Charming pre-war building with original details. Heat is inconsistent in winter — sometimes too hot, sometimes freezing. Management is slow to respond to tickets but the neighborhood more than makes up for it.

Harlem is the best kept secret in NYC. Building is older but well maintained. Landlord responsive to major issues. Neighborhood has changed a lot — great restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

Artsy building with cool neighbors but management is a nightmare. Heat went out twice last winter. Mold issue in the bathroom took months to address. Cheap for NYC but you get what you pay for.

Luxury high-rise with concierge, gym, rooftop deck. Management is incredibly responsive — any issue fixed within 24 hours. Pricey but you get what you pay for. FiDi is surprisingly quiet on weekends.

Solid building with a responsive super. The doorman is great and knows everyone by name. Street noise can be an issue on weekends but overall a great place to live. Laundry in basement.

Underrated neighborhood and excellent value for money. Super lives in the building and fixes things same day. Neighbors are friendly and the community feel is amazing. Heat works perfectly all winter.

Cheap for a reason. Roaches showed up in the summer, management took weeks to send an exterminator. Bars on the block get loud until 3am on weekends. Heating works fine though. Would not renew.

Stunning pre-war building across from Prospect Park. Herringbone floors, original moldings, and a super who actually cares. Management company is professional. Absolute gem — don't miss a lease renewal here.

The space in this building is second to none...nearly 5000 square feet and very well laid out. The open floorplan and back living room/play room has been a dream come true. The Super is incredible and always accessible via text. The building is well-maintained and the trash is collected (at our doorstep!) TWICE a day. My only complaint thus far is how cold it gets in the winter, but there are copious heating units throughout which work well, and we added some space heaters that also help. All in all, a great experience in a tremendous space. I hope we never have to leave!

Love the neighborhood — tons of restaurants and the L train is close. But the building itself needs work. Radiators are either blazing hot or completely off, and maintenance requests take weeks. If you can deal with that, the vibe is unbeatable.

Second review for this building — I'm on a higher floor so the noise is more noticeable from the avenue. Maintenance is decent but could be faster. Location can't be beat though, everything you need is within 2 blocks.

Quiet tree-lined block near Morningside Park. Pre-war building with a lot of character and an amazing super who fixes things same day. Only downside is the subway is a 10-min walk. But Central Park and Columbia area make up for it.
